Meet Talia Walton

Talia Walton is a former WNBA draft pick, professional basketball player, and one of the most decorated athletes in University of Washington women’s basketball history. A Federal Way native, Walton helped lead the Huskies to their first NCAA Final Four in 2016, where she set a tournament record for most three-pointers made in a game (8-for-9) and earned Final Four All-Tournament honors. She went on to play professionally in the WNBA and overseas in Hungary, China, and Sweden.

Now a coach, mentor, and trainer, Walton founded Team Walton in 2023 with a bold mission: to create limitless athletes—young people who are confident, prepared, and equipped to succeed at the next level and beyond. The program has grown rapidly, competing at an elite level and focusing on whole-player development, both on and off the court. In her first year (2024–25) as head coach at Seattle Prep, Walton led the girls basketball team to a 3A District Championship and its first State Tournament appearance since 2018.

Families trust Walton not only for her experience at the highest levels of the game, but for her commitment to building powerful, purpose-driven athletes through mentorship, skill development, and competitive opportunities that extend far beyond the court.
